About this preset
Hook score reads one finished clip the way an editor would and gives it back as a number you can act on. It looks hardest at the first three seconds, the part that decides whether anyone sees the rest, then at the pacing, the words on screen and the call to action. Twenty checks, each scored against the same rubric every time, weighted for what the clip is for: an ad, an organic short or a YouTube intro.
It is a rubric review of the craft, not a guess at how many views you will get. Nobody can promise reach. What this can tell you is whether the opening frame stops a thumb, whether the first words open a question, whether a muted viewer understands anything, where the clip peaks, and what to change first.
What you get back: the score out of 100 and what band it sits in, one plain sentence for each of the four areas, the strongest second of the clip and what happens there, two to four sentences on your first frame with the frame itself, and three fixes ranked by how many points they win back. Each fix names a time in the clip, the change, and how to make it. Then you can take it further in one tap: a text hook and captions, a tighter cut, or a new opening shot with a stronger spoken line, and the new version gets scored beside the old one.
An example, a ten second creator review ad scored on the NOLGIA account:
Hook score 36 out of 100, rework the opening. Hook, first 3 s: 24 of 40, voice and product land at 0.15 s, but there is no text on screen and the opening line names the topic without a gap. Pacing: 6 of 20, one continuous take with no new action for five seconds, two silences over a second, and a 1.76 s silent ending. On-screen text: 4 of 20, no captions at all. Call to action: 2 of 20, the product is held up but nothing is ever asked of the viewer. Peak second: 0 s, the strongest picture and the loudest moment are both on the first frame. The three fixes: a bold headline plus captions from 0.0 s, a call to action card at 7.5 s, and a trim of the silent 1.76 s at the end.
Scoring makes nothing new, so it spends no generation credits. Only a new opening shot generates video, and that is quoted before anything is made.
