About this preset

Miniature city flythrough builds a place as a handmade model and flies a camera low across it. The tilt shift band of focus, the raking afternoon light and the visible craft in the materials are what make it read as a tiny world rather than a game engine shot. It works for a real city, an invented one, or a single neighbourhood you want to show off. Blocky and painted, folded paper, clay, wood or knitted: the material is yours to pick, and it holds across the whole pass.

Use cases

  • A title sequence opener for a series or a channel
  • A city or neighbourhood marketing film
  • A property development flythrough with a handmade feel
  • The opening shot of an explainer about a place
  • A looping backdrop for an event stage screen

Examples

Made with this preset, with the prompt behind each one.

  • Handmade model city, 16:9, low pass under a tilt shift band of focus

A miniature model city filmed as a slow low drone pass, 16:9, tilt shift look with a shallow band of focus and soft blur above and below it. The city is a handmade tabletop model: blocky painted buildings with visible seams and brush texture, tiny cardboard water towers on the rooftops, matchstick trees along the kerbs, toy sized cars frozen mid street and a few pinhead figures on the pavements. The camera glides forward and slightly down across the grid, banking gently left as it passes a cluster of taller towers and opening out over a broad avenue that runs away to the far edge of the model on the last beat. Warm late afternoon key light rakes across the model from the left, long soft shadows fall between the blocks, dust motes hang in the beam, and a faintly visible workbench edge at the far corner sells the scale. Every surface is clean and unlettered, no signage, no billboards, no readable text anywhere. Gentle room tone and a soft low hum, no music. No on-screen text, no watermark. Use only the brand names, logos and trademarks the customer includes in their request; never add real-world brands, logos or trademarked designs the customer did not mention.

  • Folded paper harbour town at dusk, 16:9, slow orbit under a tilt shift band of focus

A miniature model harbour town filmed as a slow low drone orbit, 16:9, tilt shift look with a shallow band of focus and soft blur above and below it. The town is a handmade tabletop model of folded paper: crisp white and pastel card houses with visible fold lines and glued tabs, a stepped paper lighthouse on the harbour wall, a domed paper hall on the hill, tiny folded paper boats moored in a harbour of rippled blue cellophane, matchstick lamp posts along the quay and paper trees on the slopes. The camera glides slowly around the harbour in one continuous curving orbit, keeping the lighthouse near the centre of frame, and ends on a slightly wider view of the whole harbour on the last beat. Deep blue evening light with tiny warm glowing windows in the houses, a soft raking key from the right leaving long shadows across the quay, and a craft knife and a brass coin resting on the workbench edge in the near corner to sell the scale. Every surface is clean and unlettered, no signage, no billboards, no readable text anywhere. Gentle room tone, a faint hum and the soft tick of the model lights, no music. No on-screen text, no watermark. Use only the brand names, logos and trademarks the customer includes in their request; never add real-world brands, logos or trademarked designs the customer did not mention.

  • Clay hill town at first light, 16:9, slow rise under a tilt shift band of focus

A miniature model hill town filmed as a slow rising drone move, 16:9, tilt shift look with a shallow band of focus and soft blur above and below it. The town is a handmade tabletop model of modelling clay: chunky hand pressed clay houses in ochre, terracotta and cream with visible thumb marks and fingerprint texture, a stepped clay bell tower and a domed clay hall at the crown of the hill, cobbled clay lanes winding down the slope, tiny clay cars and clay cypress trees along the terraces. The camera starts low among the lanes near the bottom of the hill and rises slowly and steadily in one continuous move, tilting down as it climbs so the whole model comes into view with the tower and dome at its centre on the last beat. Soft golden first light rakes in low from the left through a thin morning mist, long shadows stretch down the terraces, and a wooden ruler and a jar of paintbrushes at the edge of the baseboard sell the scale. Every surface is clean and unlettered, no signage, no billboards, no readable text anywhere. Gentle room tone and soft distant birdsong, no music. No on-screen text, no watermark. Use only the brand names, logos and trademarks the customer includes in their request; never add real-world brands, logos or trademarked designs the customer did not mention.
