How do I turn a phone photo into product photos that sell?

September 19, 2026 · 3 min read

You do not need a studio, a light kit or a photographer to get a hero shot. The Product photos preset takes the photos you already have, keeps the product exactly as it looks in them, and puts it in a clean, well lit picture made for where you sell.

This guide walks through the inputs the preset asks for, what to expect from each run and how to get a set that looks like it came from one shoot.

What you need

  • Product photos

    Required

One to three clean photos of the product, one for each side we should see. The render shows exactly what you show.

  • What is the product?

    Required

Name it, say what it is made of and roughly how big it is.

  • Where will you use it?

    Optional

Sets the picture shape for the place it will be shown.

  • Brand colours or mood

    Optional

Colour names or codes, or the feeling in a few words. You can skip this.

  • Your logo

    Optional

Only if it must appear on the product or packaging. A clean flat file. You can skip this.

Step by step

  1. Take one to three clear photos

Shoot the product on a plain surface in daylight, one photo for each side you want seen. The render shows only what your photos show, so a side you did not photograph will not appear.

  2. Open the preset

Open the Product photos preset page and choose Try this preset free, or Make yours when you are signed in. The NOLGIA Agent chat opens with the preset selected and asks its questions one card at a time.

  3. Add the photos, or import them from a link

Drop your photos on the Product photos step, pick them from your Library, or choose Import from a link and paste your product page. NOLGIA reads the page once and saves the photos to your Library.

  4. Say what the product is

Name it, say what it is made of and roughly how big it is. Those words travel with the photos, so the material and the scale come out right.

  5. Pick where you will use it

Shop listing, Instagram feed, Stories and Reels or Website banner. The choice sets the picture shape, so you do not crop later.

  6. Review and create

The last card shows every answer and the credit estimate. Press Create. The preset runs on GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, and the still lands in the chat and in your Library.

FAQ

Questions and answers.

Will the product look like my real product?
Yes, that is the point of the preset. Your photos ride along as references and the prompt asks for the same shape, materials, label and details, so the product is not redesigned.
Which models does Product photos use?
It runs on GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. You do not need to pick one; the preset chooses for you.
Can it show a side I did not photograph?
No. It only shows the sides your photos show. If a place you sell needs another angle, take that one photo and run it again.
How do I get a whole set that matches?
Open one of the directions under the preset, like the hero on white, the lifestyle scene or the carousel set, and keep the same photos and description for every run.
What does it cost?
The preset page shows its estimate, and this guide shows the same estimate with each model's current rate. New accounts start with 350 free credits.
